The bersaglieri of the "Aosta" brigade deliver a check to the municipality of Trapani

In these days determined by great sacrifices for all of Italy, even the personnel of the 6th Bersaglieri Regiment of the "Aosta" brigade, wanted to demonstrate the proximity to the city of Trapani, of which he is an "honorary citizen", donating funds to be allocated to 'initiative of the municipal administration "Trapani Solidarity Network", which will serve to support citizens without income and social safety nets, immunosuppressed subjects or those suffering from serious diseases, elderly people alone, at risk and disabled.

A solidarity contest that on a voluntary basis by each targets of the 6th regiment, allowed in 48 hours to collect the figure of 5.000 euros. This will allow the municipal administration to cope with urgent measures in terms of food needs, individual protection devices and to combat the educational poverty of the less wealthy population of the city of Trapani.

Today the commander of the 6th Bersaglieri Regiment, Colonel Alberto Nola, delivered the check to the Mayor of the City of Trapani Giacomo Tranchida remotely, according to the current provisions of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers on the issue of curbing the spread of the pandemic, with the hope that this small gesture will help to contain and defeat the virus as soon as possible also in our city community.

The initiative was born from the desire of the military serving at the "Luigi Giannettino" Barracks, home of the 6th Bersaglieri Regiment, to support the city hosting the Italian Army department with a concrete and voluntary contribution.
