The soldiers of the 7th regiment of Altamura, in full synergy with the local reality, have donated food and basic necessities in favor of the local Caritas.

With this noble gesture, the solidarity activities that the Bersaglieri of the 7th Regiment of Altamura (Bari), unit of the Italian Army under the Brigade "Pinerolo", have promoted throughout the Apulian territory, towards people in difficulty, continue. during this emergency medical period.

The substantial quantity of food was delivered to Don Antonio Scaramuzzi, for subsequent distribution to the poorest families. "In some cases the start of Phase 2 has not completely mitigated the needs of the most needy"recognizes Colonel Giovanni Ventura, commander of the regiment, "But we are always there and, even in this period of gradual return to normal, every gesture of solidarity contributes, in a decisive way, to improving the quality of life".

This act of sensitivity and generosity is part of the numerous activities voluntarily promoted by all the soldiers of the mechanized brigade "Pinerolo" who are already committed to facing the crisis underway as part of the "Safe Roads" operation, collaborating with the police and providing a varied logistical support such as, for example, the transport of personal protective equipment or the sanitation of the structures of civil entities that have requested it.

The charitable initiative was particularly appreciated by the mayor of the city of Altamura, Rosa Melodia, who did not miss the 7th target's words of praise for the continuous proximity, sincere and active, to citizens and institutions. The local initiative will help strengthen the mottoes #noicisiamosempre, # diiiieme #alserviziodelpaese which for the Army underline the enormous attachment to the population.
