Army volunteers swear

In recent days, at the volunteer training regiments of Capua, Ascoli Piceno, Cassino and Verona, the Volunteers in One Year Fixed (VFP-1) of the Italian Army, belonging to the second echelon of the second block 2021.

In the presence of the Regimental War Flags, the soldiers carried out the solemn act of oath with the traditional formula of "I swear!", Adhering to the ideals, values ​​and norms that traditionally characterize the Army.

The commander of the Training, Specialization and Doctrine of the Army, general of the army corps Carlo Lamanna, intervened in the swearing-in ceremonies at the 80th "Rome" volunteer training regiment and the 85th "Verona" volunteer training regiment, encouraged the young soldiers by saying: “You have solemnly pledged to dedicate the best of yourself to Italy. You must be loyal and conscientious soldiers, irreproachable and disciplined servants of the state and exemplary citizens ".

Major General Francesco Maria Ceravolo, who attended the swearing-in ceremonies at the 17th "Acqui" Volunteer Training Regiment in Capua and at the 235 "Piceno" Volunteer Training Regiment in Ascoli, underlined the significance of the oath, an ethical reference in the daily action of the staff with the "stars" and moral bond towards themselves and the country.

The young soldiers, who reached the end of a training phase lasting 6 weeks which allowed them to learn the rules governing the military organization, to achieve adequate physical preparation as well as to acquire the knowledge and basic operational skills of each soldier, in the next few days, will reach the units of the Armed Force, located throughout the national territory.
