This morning, at the Arco della Pace in Milan, in the presence of the Minister of Defense, the Honorable Lorenzo Guerini, the Chief of Staff of the Army, Corps General Pietro Serino, the ceremony of oath of allegiance to the Italian Republic of the 44 students, 15 women and 29 men, of the "FERRARI III" course of the "Teulié" Military School.
The solemn act, which took place in front of the Institute Flag and sealed with the traditional formula of the Oath, pronounced by the commander of the School, Colonel Gianluigi D'Ambrosio, sanctions the full entry of the students into the ranks of the Army.
"The training you will receive at Teulié will allow you to acquire knowledge and experience. You will mature stainless friendships. You will develop the awareness of those who will not be afraid to constantly put themselves on the line in society, both in the military and civil fields. You will prepare yourself for to be, like those who preceded you, citizens with stars: a responsibility, which is also an honor " - thus the Minister of Defense Lorenzo Guerini in addressing the very young students recalling the importance of training and values in the world of Defense.
Words of appreciation and encouragement for the choice of life undertaken, expressed the Chief of Staff of the Army: "Your Oath was collective and it was public. Taking on the heavy commitment of the Defense of the country and its democratic institutions all together, means that this duty is a fact that concerns the community rather than the individual. It involves everyone in as a people of citizens who, with their work and their commitment, contribute to the growth of that identity that we define as Homeland and of which, with the Oath, we have assumed the duty of defense against any aggression.
But the Oath is also public. You did not limit yourself to swearing allegiance to the nation, you did so in front of it, its symbols, its leaders, its people, including your dearest affections. When life were to present you with difficult choices, think back to this day, look in your memory for the name of those at your side and the face of those who attended from the stands, and it will be clear to you what is right for you. You have chosen a path of strong commitment, which I wish you to follow guided by the determination of your youth and accompanied by luck ".
Present at the ceremony were the prefect of Milan, Dr. Renato Saccone, the president of the municipal council of Milan, Dr. Elena Buscemi, the commander of the Training, Specialization and Doctrine of the Army, gen. about Salvatore Camporeale, the representative of the Gold Medals Group for Military Valor, gen. cacc Rosario Aiosa, the president ofNational Association of Past Pupils Teulié Dr. Gianluca Crea, and numerous other civil, military and religious authorities, in addition to the representatives of the Combat and Weapon Associations.
During the ceremony, the commander of the Military School returned to the president of the Milan city council, the Primo Tricolore symbol of the "Five Days" of Milan which this year celebrates its 174th anniversary.
The Military School "Teulié", an elite high school of the Army, offers annually, through a public competition, the possibility for all boys and girls, who have successfully completed the second year of classical or scientific high school, to continue the three years of studies.

In over 200 years of life, the School has confirmed itself as an undisputed excellence that has formed and continues to train hundreds of young people who enter both the military and civilian world as politicians, men of culture, industrialists, diplomats, but, always and in any case, exemplary citizens.
