The swearing-in ceremony of the officers of the 202nd “Honor” course took place in the Aula Magna of Palazzo Arsenale, headquarters of the Army Training and Application School command.
In front of the Flag of the Institute, decorated with the Silver Medal for Military Valor and the commander of the Training Institute, Major General Mauro D'Ubaldi, 101 second lieutenants pronounced the formula of Oath of loyalty to the Italian Republic and confirmed, individually and solemnly, their commitment to serve the institutions of the state with fidelity and honor.
General D'Ubaldi, addressing the second lieutenants of the 202nd course, underlined “With the thirty-eight words you are about to pronounce individually, announce to the world which side you are on. Be proud of it, Italy entrusts you with the noble role of security managers, defenders of the freedom won and defended with the sacrifices that today you honorably undertake to pass on and repeat, if necessary. Our heart beats for you today ”.
The ceremony took place in the presence of the command line of the course department and of family members, relatives and friends of the jurands.
The officers of the 202 ° "Example" course reached this milestone after having attended the two-year technical-professional training at the Military Academy of Modena and will remain in Turin for the three years necessary to achieve the three-year and specialist degrees in Military Strategic Sciences.
Subsequently they will be assigned to the various units of the Army operating throughout the national territory.
