The paratroopers of the 183 ° parachute regiment "Nembo" participated last week in the "Red Night AVIS", an event organized by the municipal Avis, in collaboration with the municipality of the city of Pistoia, with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of citizens of blood and plasma donation.
For the occasion, the "Nembo" organized two exhibition stands of vehicles and materials supplied to the unit, in which the Lightweight Multirole Tactical Vehicle "LINCE" which aroused great interest among those present.
During the activity, the paratroopers of the regiment illustrated the training and work opportunities that the Italian Army offers, providing information for access to a military career.
In compliance with the health regulations on the containment and spread of the covid, the most interested children were able to closely observe the aviolancistic materials typical of the "paratroopers" specialty, also trying their "wearing", this last phase occurred following appropriate sterilization of the materials.
The 183rd "Nembo" supports the Pistoia AVIS throughout the year, with numerous donors in the ranks of the regiment. For this reason, the “Red Night” represents, once again, the symbol of a concrete and lasting bond between the Army and AVIS.
