The military ceremony of the “Party of the tactical information brigade” took place in the parade ground of the “Santa Barbara” barracks in Anzio on the occasion of the third anniversary of its constitution in the current configuration.
The ceremony, presided over by General Maurizio Fronda, commander of the tactical information brigade of the Army, saw the participation of the commander of the operational support land forces, general of the army corps Massimo Scala, as well as numerous military and civil authorities, of the standards of the armed combat associations and of the banners of the city of Anzio and Neptune.
Underlining the importance of the information sector and military intelligence in the field of land operations, General Fronda highlighted how the staff of the brigade is active in this sector in all the main theaters, demonstrating a commitment and a continuous sacrifice.
In congratulating General Fronda for the excellence of the results obtained by the tactical information brigade, witnessed by the awarding of the Bronze Medal to the Army during the ceremony, the commander of the operational ground support forces underlined how, in adherence to the functional concept of "terrestrial information support", the brigade has now become the the only large unit of the Italian Army capable of providing combat units with the information necessary for the success of the mission. A goal that is the result of a long programming activity, a high level of training, excellent staff training, excellent professionalism and the ability to always adapt to new tasks.
La tactical information brigade of the Army operates in the Information sector, having electronic warfare, battlefield surveillance, information research units employed by it Humint and a Center for the training of personnel operating in the sector.
