The Army Chief of Staff, Army Corps General Salvatore Farina, tested negative for the two consecutive swabs provided for by the health protocols to ascertain recovery from Covid 19 thus obtaining the green light to return to the field alongside all the men and women who in these days are fighting together with the rest of the country to contain and counter the spread of COVID 19.

“I recovered and returned to my full potential. I want to thank all the doctors, nurses and health workers, civil and military, who have done and continue to do a great deal for our country since the beginning of this emergency. I address a moved thought to all those who have not made it by hugging me, with a strong ideal embrace, to their family members. A cordial greeting to the many who in recent weeks have shown me their closeness in various ways. Finally, a big and affectionate thanks to all the men and women of the Army, the Armed Forces and the Police Forces, the Civil Protection and the thousands of Volunteers who are continuously working in all fields to defeat Covid 19. "

The Army, immediately at the forefront in contrasting the expansion of the virus, will continue to operate with the utmost commitment and all the skills and competences required.
