Record army in the Crossing of the 13 Peaks

The Alpine of the Sports Center of the Italian Army Robert Antonioli teamed with Andrea Prandi, who left at 3.00 am from Santa Caterina Valfurva, faced the series of peaks that awaited them with determination, immediately gaining the decisive advantage on the roadmap, culminated in the success of the record attempt in the Traverse of the 13 Peaks.

Departure and arrival in Santa Caterina Valfurva. At an altitude an exciting crossing, from Pizzo Tresero passing among others through San Matteo, Monte Giumella, Punta Cadini, Rocca Santa Caterina, Cima di Pejo, Punta Linke, Monte Vioz, Palon de La Mare, Monte Rosole, Cevedale and the Col Pasquale.

The initial advantage, 24 'on San Matteo, has never diminished going to expand up to the incredible final time trial of 6 hours, 52 minutes and 56 seconds which places almost an hour between the Antonioli Alpine and the result signed a few days before by the couple Pintarelli / Boffelli on the same route.

For Robert Antonioli it is the realization of a dream, having the best time in the crossing of the home mountains, where he has always trained: this was his thanks in Piazza Migliavacca in Santa Caterina Valfurva, after 35 km and 4.000 meters in altitude : "I thank all the friends and technicians present on the course, a special thanks to the family of the Army Sports Center who has welcomed me for some time and today has allowed me to fulfill one of my dreams".
