With the final exercise of a minor complex on fire in the Capo Teulada range, the 151st infantry regiment of the "Sassari" brigade ended in recent days. The exercise saw numerous regimental personnel employed who carried out an intense three-week training period aimed at preparing the unit in anticipation of future operational commitments.
The activity also allowed a rifle platoon, powered almost entirely by volunteers in fixed annual fixed positions newly assigned to the 151st, to train through a cycle of specific infantry activities.
The final exercise involved the mortar and counter tank components of the regiment, the structures of the marksmen and the teams of specialists in the security sector (Close Protection Team) who, through the conduct of immediate automatic reactions and the simulation of direct actions, have a successful training course started in September.
Doctrinal theme that characterized the entire activity was mobile defense and counterattack in a context of warfighting, conducted in environments very similar to the real ones.
