A complex exercise conceived and conducted by the Bersaglieri Brigade "Garibaldi" together with the logistic and health assets of the Army's logistic command concluded in recent days at the permanent shooting range of Capo Teulada (SU). The training activity verified the command and control procedures of the operational-logistical-health activities in a warfighting operational context in a non-permissive environment. In fact, several command posts were deployed simultaneously, including that of the brigade, the logistic regiment "Garibaldi", the 4th tank regiment and the 10th health department.
The objective of the training activity was to validate the coordination procedures between operational, logistical and healthcare components, within a high-intensity operational context. The tested capabilities include support for supplies in the contact zone (front line), recovery operations and the activation of medical treatment facilities (MTFs) ROLE 2 BASIC and ROLE 2 FORWARD, designed to stabilize the wounded directly in the advanced areas of the operational theater. The role of the medical personnel of the Army logistics command was crucial, ensuring full support to the healthcare system deployed on the ground.
The exercise confirmed the operational readiness of the personnel involved and the effectiveness of the cooperation between maneuver and support forces, underlining the importance of a synergic approach to rapidly and efficiently address any crisis scenario.
