Yesterday, at the Monteromano shooting range, the units of the Bracciano artillery command concluded the exercise to use the FH-70 towed howitzers called “SETHLANS 2021”.
The activity involved the army marshal students, belonging to the XXI course, who put into practice the theoretical notions acquired during the period of study carried out in Bracciano. Flanking them, a howitzers battery of the horse artillery regiment and the instructors of the training group of the artillery command.
The exercise had the further purpose of consolidating the knowledge acquired by the personnel of the Army belonging to the Artillery, in particular those who are attending courses for the observation, planning and coordination of artillery fire, and the courses Support Earth Fire Observer for teams Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) and Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC).
At the end of the activities, the commander of the artillery, Brigadier General Fabio Giambartolomei, congratulated all the participants for the excellent results obtained, highlighting how this is an essential step in the training process of the artillerymen, because it represents an important opportunity verification and consolidation of the skills acquired during training.
