Second year students of the Army Military Schools, Nunziatella of Naples and Teulie of Milan are engaged for about a month in the exercise called “UNA ACIES 2021” and are simultaneously carrying out activities in various training areas and ranges of the Armed Force.

The multiple commitments, carried out in the Milanese hinterland, in Brianza, Ticino and Pavese, conducted in full compliance with the regulations in force for the contrast and containment of COVID-19, are aimed at making cadets acquire the first notions of military training and verify, in practice, the specific knowledge achieved at the theoretical and doctrinal level during the school year.

In the first week, the students of the Military School Teulie they ventured into activities peculiar to the alpine specialty at Passo del Tonale (BS), tackling mountain walks with gradients of about 1000 meters in a compartmentalized environment, ideal for increasing the ability to move safely in this context.

At the same time, the students of the Military School Nunziatella they have become familiar with professional subjects of fundamental importance for the training of each soldier such as first aid, radio transmissions, land navigation, topography and individual combat training.

Among the numerous training activities, the collaboration with the UNUCI (National Union of Officials in Dismissal of Italy) which contributed to the organization and conduct of a topographic march carried out in the Lambro Valley Park area should be emphasized.

The exercise "UNA ACIES" proves, once again, an important training moment for students attending the Army Training Institutes, as well as a precious opportunity to increase their military experience, test their knowledge and consolidate the skills acquired. .
