In recent days, an intense cycle of activities has been concluded aimed at training and perfecting the skills of the personnel and monitoring the state of efficiency of the vehicles and materials of the 6th general support logistic regiment.
The training cycle, which saw the men and women of the 6th engaging in numerous theoretical and practical activities aimed at achieving the main operational skills required in both national and foreign missions, ended with a complex movement in an ordinary auto-column. The formation, made up of 50 vehicles of different types, reached a depth of about 2,5 kilometers, along a complex and articulated itinerary that crossed the provinces of Bologna and Ferrara.
One was set up for monitoring movement and activities on the ground Situations Room and Forward Logistic Support Base, consisting of a field maintenance module and a module transit management of type SPOD (Sea Port Of Debarkation).
During the exercise, following specific activations, the actual capabilities of the Traffic Control Nucleiand repair and recovery team and logistics operators of Health.
2020 was particularly dense with operational activities for the 6th general support logistic regiment, which since December 2019 has been ensuring two combat service support battalion in the NATO KFOR mission in Kosovo. Furthermore, on the occasion of the epidemiological emergency in progress, the regiment guaranteed personnel, means and materials for the preparation of the field hospitals of Crema and Piacenza, for the transport of personal protective equipment in favor of the Civil Protection and for the of sanitation activities in numerous municipalities of Emilia Romagna.
