In recent days, the training activity organized and conducted by the 152nd infantry regiment of the “Sassari” brigade at the Interforce Polygon of Salto di Quirra, in Sardinia, concluded.
The exercise represented a moment of high level training and international collaboration, which involved the snipers of the brigades of the command of the South Operating Forces, of the French Army and other state bodies.
In fact, the teams of the 82nd infantry regiment, the 6th and 8th bersaglieri regiment, the 1st grenadier regiment, the snipers of the 152nd infantry regiment "Sassari" and of the Guardia di Finanza and the snipers team of the 152nd participated in the activity. infantry regiment “Diable Rouges” of the French Armée de Terre.
The activity was carried out with maximum realism, simulating non-permissive operational scenarios through day and night exercises. The units faced complex tests that included precision shooting activities at different distances and the overcoming of vertical obstacles that tested the technical-tactical capabilities of the snipers, allowing them to consolidate standard procedures and improve operational effectiveness.
Particular attention was paid to the exchange of experiences between the different teams, with the aim of identifying some best practices in training methods and operational use and of comparing issues such as shooting techniques in specific environmental conditions, intervention methods in various scenarios and equipment.
This experience represented a virtuous example of synergy between Armed Forces, Institutions and international partners, highlighting the importance of joint training to successfully face contemporary operational challenges.
