"CRIMEDIM 2022" exercise

The 3rd “MILAN” Health Department, in collaboration with the Interdepartmental Center for Research and Training in Disaster Medicine, Humanitarian Assistance and Global Health of the University of Eastern Piedmont (UPO - CRIMEDIM), the Department of Civil Protection, the Italian Red Cross and numerous local voluntary associations, has implemented a series of activities aimed at improving and intensifying the synergies between the military organization and the civil one in the conduct and management of a health emergency.

A recently acquired field health complex was deployed in recent days at the sports field of the Municipality of Bellinzago Novarese (NO), specifically the ROLE 2 Basic (ROLE 2-B), with the aim of increasing the deployment capabilities of this complex in an emergency context. The final exercise was based on the international response in a country severely affected by an internal conflict, which has generated a mass movement of refugees and refugees.

The activation of the ROLE 2-B and its specialized components occurred following a serious road accident; the conduct with interaction between the civilian and military components, has ensured, in addition to the deployment and operation of the ROLE 2-B, also the presence of medical evacuation and team of health logistic operators, who were employed in coordination with UPO - CRIMEDIM.

The Transit Area Management Regiment - RSOM - which, together with the 3rd "MILAN" Health Department, works under the Army logistic command through the logistic support command participated in the activity with further logistical structures. .
