In recent days, at the Barracks D'Avossa in Salerno, headquarters of the "Cavalleggeri Guide" (19th) regiment, the CBRN (Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Chemical) evaluation exercise "Arkam Ausylum 2021" was held with the participation of Army, State Police, a nucleus of the provincial command of the Salerno Fire Brigade, of the 9th flight department of the Fire Brigade and units of the Military Corps of the Red Cross.
The purpose of the activity was to test the immediate response to a possible threat, deriving from the use of chemical agents on a local scenario, with the aim of training staff in the adoption of guidelines that aim to establish partnership agreements between various emergency management organizations.
The activity, conducted in compliance with the rules on contrasting and containing the COVID-19 epidemic, took place in the presence of an evaluation team from the "Garibaldi" bersaglieri brigade who was able to appreciate the great institutional synergy shown during the whole phase of the exercise.
