The 21st course of "CBRN operational qualification (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear) for senior managers and officers".
The topics covered during the course provided the participants with the knowledge to maintain and possibly restore the operational readiness of their unit in the event of a CBRN accident as well as allowing them to gain awareness of the relevance of the dangers originating from unconventional accidents in planning and conducting its operations. Furthermore, the visitors were able to learn about the organization and dynamics of Civil Defense, examining what are the fundamental components of CBRN Defense applied both in the purely operational field and in support of the civilian population in case of events on the national territory.
The course that has just ended confirms the "full spectrum" nature of the CBRN risk, potentially deriving from a voluntary but also accidental event, and reaffirms the 360 ° validity of the training offer plan of the courses available at the training institute.
The NBC Joint Defense School trains, at a basic and specialist level, the personnel of the Armed Forces and the Armed Corps of the State as well as the Departments and civil organizations involved in the specific sector. Furthermore, the Institute collaborates with universities and scientific bodies for the development of teaching and refresher activities, participates with its own representatives in specific NATO working groups, as well as internationally, offers training courses open to all NATO countries and Partners for Peace (PfP).
