The Army and the Police forces, on the orders of the Commissioner for fighting the phenomenon of fires in the Campania Region, carried out a series of extraordinary checks on the territory in February, to counteract the phenomenon of illegality in the waste cycle.
On the field, during the "Action Days" in February, 100 crews for a total of 240 joint forces belonging to the Campania Army grouping, based on the 7th Bersaglieri Regiment and other forces of the Municipalities concerned, supported by the ARPAC and from the ASL of Caserta and Naples.
The activities were conducted in the provinces of Naples and Caserta. More than 600 people identified, 360 vehicles checked, of which over 100 seized, around 40 spill sites identified and administrative fines imposed for a total of € 150.000 for the illegal management and disposal of waste and processing scraps.
