The course, lasting 3 weeks, prepared 20 attendees to learn about the materials and their correct use in the mountaineering sector, as well as to acquire the basic technical skills that will allow them to access advanced courses.

15 intense days, during which the students have acquired the modalities to perform a rappelling, a fixed rope ascent to overcome a natural obstacle, and learn the climbing methods from the second and the first climbing party. During the ice phase, lasting 2 days, the military learned to bind themselves according to the conditions of snow on the glacier, to stop a slip and to recover a possible fall into the crevasse.

The activities were carried out entirely in the Aosta Valley, taking advantage of the climbing cliffs that the Valle d'Aosta area offers, and the artificial structures of the Alpine Training Center.

In addition to the practical activities the students were able to attend a cycle of theoretical lessons aimed at making them aware of the Alpine mountain context and the dangers connected to it.

The enthusiastic participation of the students and the bond of esteem and respect established with the instructors, have guaranteed an excellent final result that will allow them, in the future, to be able to return to the Alpine Training Center to carry out the Advanced Course.
