The exercise "Byetorra" ended in Cagliari

The logistic regiment of the "Sassari" brigade has recently concluded the exercise "Byetorra", a training activity aimed at supporting the departments of the "Sassari" brigade which will soon be used in various operating theaters abroad.

In this case, a command post has been set up with the function of implementing command and control capabilities and coordinating the logistical activities typical of the regiment through the enucleation of transport structures and management of transits in favor of the military departing to Lebanon, where shortly the "Sassari" brigade will take command of the Italian contingent and the Sector West of Unifil (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon), the United Nations multinational interposition force deployed in South Lebanon.

The transport structures have moved vehicles, materials and personnel for the inbound / outbound operations carried out by the staff of the Regiment managing transit areas (Rsom) which operates in close connection with the Jmcc Coi, which were joined, in "on the job training" mode, by the Getra units of the newly established "Sassari" logistic regiment.

The exercise was attended by aliquots of the regiment command, the command company and the transport company, in order to favor the amalgamation among all the staff and to better express the skills for the fulfillment of the institutional tasks assigned.

The "Sassari" logistics regiment, established on November 1, 2019, is the unit responsible for the logistical support of the "Sassari" brigade which, following a progressive supply of personnel, means and materials, reached an initial operational capacity in the March which will increase in the second half of 2020 with the formation of the battalion command.
