The exercise ended Summer Resolve, carried out by the Alpine brigade Taurinense in the Brunico area, on the mountains of Val Pusteria (Bolzano) and at the Monte Romano polygon, with about 900 soldiers who trained over four weeks, realistically simulating scenarios of warfighting.

In Val Pusteria, at the tactical training center of Brunico, the 2nd Alpine regiment of Cuneo conducted a continuous activity with opposing parties in the high mountains, exercising a tactical group with the participation of over 300 soldiers belonging to the 2nd Alpini and the 32 ° genius sappers of the Taurinense, together with assets of the 33rd regiment Electronic War, from the 41st 'Cordenons' regiment and the 121th 'Ravenna' counter-aircraft artillery regiment, plus members of special forces supplied by the 4th Alpine parachute regiment. The scheme of the exercise at height envisaged infiltration and attack actions on pre-established objectives, carried during the day and at night. The maneuver of the units on the ground was also supported by scout nuclei of the 173 ^ brigade of the US army, in the framework of the cooperation already started last winter in the context of the exercise White Fox organized in Piedmont by Taurinense.

The activity at the tactical training center of Monte Romano saw the 3rd Alpine regiment protagonist in the conduct of an exercise with opposing parties, during which a tactical group on the 'Susa' battalion framework confronted opposing forces, simulated by departments of the brigade Granaders of Sardinia.

In Monte Romano daytime and night-time fire activities of increasing difficulty were conducted, ending with a tactical group level exercise that simulated an action aimed at neutralizing the reunification of opposing units with the bulk of the enemy device. In addition to the 3rd Alpine regiment, departments of the Taurinense alpine brigade took part in this exercise (2nd alpini, 9th alpini, Nizza Cavalry, 32nd genius spoilers, 1st land mountain artillery regiment), as well as the Montebello Lancers with a squadron of busways Centaur. The maneuver was also attended by the flight crews and helicopters AB 205 and AB 206 of the Army Aviation, the transmitters of the 11th regiment and the 41st 'Cordenons' regiment of the tactical information brigade, which - with piloted aircraft remote Raven e Strix - provided instrumental surveillance of the battlefield, integrating radar activity Cleaning. The Sovereign Military Order of Malta also took part in the exercise, providing a field hospital and its own drones.
