The "Kinetic Week I / 26" ended on February 2020, in which the fixed and auxiliary flight crews of the Army Aviation, together with specialized units of the Armed Forces, trained under the direction of the 1st AVES regiment "Antares".
The exercise, carried out at the headquarters of the "Fabbri" Military Airport in Viterbo and neighboring training areas, aimed to train, through ongoing activities, different specialized structures of the Armed Force and of the specialty, to the possible scenarios of use operating both at home and abroad.
Personnel, vehicles and aircraft from the 3rd REOS "Aldebaran", the 5th AVES "Rigel" regiment, the 7th AVES "Vega" regiment, the 7th CBRN Defense regiment, the 41st regiment took part in the exercise " Cordenons ", from the 66th Aircraft Infantry Regiment" Trieste ", from the Lagoon Regiment" Serenissima ", from Army Aviation Command and Tactical Support Department and from Army Aviation Training Center.
Three CH-47F helicopters, two A129, one NH90 and one UAV RAVEN set-up were used, for a total of over 25 flight hours, in missions that demonstrated a perfect integration of the same with the terrestrial component.
At the end of the exercise, the units demonstrated their ability to plan, organize and conduct basic and advanced flight activities, using and integrating different specialist AF and specialty structures, also in the CBRN environment, for possible use in missions abroad or as part of the contingency plans of the Defense or the Armed Force.
