The ceremony initially scheduled in the Sala dei Giganti of Palazzo "Liviano" was canceled in accordance with the provisions on prevention issued by the prefectural authority.

General Farina has highlighted how the assigning commander has actively contributed to the smooth functioning of the whole Army, thanks to a broad and innovative vision, giving a strong impulse to numerous and relevant initiatives to the direct advantage of efficiency and operativeness, carrying out its own action in an extremely effective way up to the last minute also in the management of the contribution of the Italian Army for the emergency in Vò Euganeo.

General Amedeo Sperotto in almost two years of command coordinated, through his 24-hour operating room, the preparation and preparation of the units /Task Forces and commands of the Aeromobile, Pozzuolo del Friuli and Ariete brigades, engaged in operations in Afghanistan, as well as demanding exercises of paratroopers, artillerymen and armored personnel carriers in Poland and Norway. In addition, he managed the reclamation of war devices, the competitions to the Police Forces in the "Safe Roads" operation and the interventions of all departments of the Army in the event of serious natural disasters, present in their area of ​​responsibility.

The North Operational Forces Command has, in particular, the task of coordinating operations on a large part of the peninsula which includes six administrative regions and thirty-seven prefectures. The more than 17 men and women of the High Command contribute every day to safeguarding the territory, confirming the role of the Army in serving the country and the national community.

Under the responsibility of General Sperotto, from 5 July 2018 (the day on which he took office) to date, 1957 operations have been carried out, with 9030 reclaimed military devices. The "Safe Roads" operation, which involves the use of the Armed Forces for specific and exceptional needs for the prevention of crime and terrorism, in competition with the Police, has employed up to 2500 soldiers divided into four groups that carry out the service in 80 sensitive sites located in nineteen provinces.
