One hundred and twenty-nine officers of the 202nd “Onore” course received the rank of lieutenant. The ceremony took place in the Cortile d'Onore of Palazzo Arsenale, home of the Army officers' school, in the presence of the commander of the Training Institute, General of the Army Corps Antonello Vespaziani and the command line of the basic training courses.
General Vespaziani, addressing the newly promoted lieutenants, future commanders, underlined: “From today a new chapter has opened in your career as soldiers, not a finish line, but a further starting point. Continue to work with passion, commitment and dedication to honor the rank you have just received. When you go to the departments you will have to be an example, guides to follow, not only for the younger ones, but also for the older ones who will look at you as the Army of the future".
At the end of the basic training process, lasting five years, the lieutenants of the 202nd "Onore" course, in July will obtain a master's degree in Strategic and Military Sciences, and subsequently, they will be assigned to the various Army units present throughout the national territory. The Army Officers' School in Turin confirms itself as a training center of excellence, through the development axes of the Armed Forces: technology, training and values.
