04/12/24

Yesterday morning, the Army's logistics commander, Army Corps General Mauro D'Ubaldi, presided over the handover ceremony in the role of technical commander of the Army between Major General Michele Pasquariello, who is outgoing, and Brigadier General Raffaele Zorzi, who is incoming.

The ceremony, held at the NBC inter-force logistics technical centre in Civitavecchia (Rome), was attended by numerous civil and military authorities and representatives of theNational Association of Army Technical Officers.

In his speech, General D'Ubaldi expressed gratitude to General Pasquariello, who will leave active service upon reaching the age limit, underlining his very high moral qualities, brilliant technical competence and leadership, which have characterized his work throughout his career.

The logistics commander also highlighted the intense work carried out by General Pasquariello as technical commander in the sector of disruptive technologies, the experimentation of land platforms and in the development of a new training path for the officers of the Engineer Corps, more in line with new needs.

The Authority then extended its best wishes for his new assignment to General Zorzi who, thanks to his in-depth and recognized skills in the field of land platforms, will certainly provide a significant contribution in this delicate sector.

The technical command is an intermediate command of the logistics area, with the executive bodies of the specific sector responsible for the experimentation and technical evaluation for the purpose of suitability for the use of all means, materials, weapon systems, equipment of the armed forces, as well as the management of problems connected with activities in the nuclear, biological and chemical sectors.
