As part of the preparation training activities Joint Rapid Reaction Force (JRRF) e Permanent Training Company, the "Serenissima" Lagunari regiment has conducted two exercises in recent days at the Tactical Training Center level 2 of Brunico.
The activities, aimed at combat training in built-up areas, have made it possible to operate in real environments with the use of vehicles and weapon systems supplied. The Live (LIVEX) training simulations, focused on offensive and defensive tactical activities in a warfighting context, were conducted by two rifle platoons, a maneuver support platoon and two elite snipers.
The training objectives were to develop the planning decision-making process at the multi-weapon minor complex level (PPMU), the conduct of offensive and defensive tactical activities in the urban environment, develop direct and indirect fire coordination measures, the management and treatment of wounded according to the protocols of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), employing qualified "Military Rescue" personnel. During the ongoing activity, the command and control capabilities between the platoons and the command post of the minor complex were tested, in order to guarantee the constant maintenance of Situational Awareness.
The exercise was developed in full compliance with environmental regulations and in compliance with the measures to contain the infection from Covid-19.
The "SERENISSIMA" Lagunari regiment, the only infantry unit with an amphibious connotation, is, in its entirety, the maneuvering piece of the "Pozzuolo del Friuli" cavalry brigade, main supplier of the Army component of the National Projection Screening Capacity (CNPM) for Defense.
