Training activity with German paratroopers at the Folgore paratrooper brigade

The visit to the Parachute Training Center of the "Folgore", of a delegation of the 31st paratrooper regiment of the 1st paratrooper brigade, included in the rapid reaction division of the German Armed Forces.

The activity is to be seen in the context of the programmes aimed at achieving the maximum level of interoperability between the air forces of the allied countries belonging to the so-called Airborne Community, of which the “Folgore” paratrooper brigade has also been a part for several years, through the exchange of training and logistical experiences, both within the EATC (European Air Transportation Command) and NATO.

As part of the activity, the compatibility check between the EPC-C parachute, supplied to the “Folgore” brigade, and the A400M aircraft, supplied to the German Air Force, was successfully carried out, in order to be able to proceed in the future to the subsequent certification phase necessary to be able to carry out air drops of Italian paratroopers with German aircraft.

Achieving high levels of interoperability within theAirborne Community It is one of the priority objectives of the paratrooper brigade thunderbolt, as it allows for the conduct of joint airborne operations, combining resources, units, vehicles and equipment in a synergistic manner.
