Alpine troops once again confirm the skills acquired in training and implemented in favor of the country. As part of the slope assistance service at the Zoncolan ski resort (UD), a highly specialized intervention has helped contribute to the rescue of two young skiers who, when they left their parents, found themselves in difficulty. The altruistic and specialist behavior of the chosen corporal major of the 8th Alpine Regiment Asia D'Orlando ensured their identification and recovery in a steep point with dangerous steps and rock jumps.

Thanks to the technical preparation and mountaineering equipment of the Alpine Troops, it was once again possible to avoid a probable negative event.

The Alpine Troops in the winter season contribute to the safety of the slopes of about 60 ski resorts and assistance and information interventions for the correct use of the slopes represent a decisive element of how the Armed Forces are always ready and at the service of the country.
