The training of approximately two hundred initial-service volunteers (VFI) who are not yet specialized, who arrived at the “Lancieri di Novara” regiment in Codroipo and the 132nd tank regiment in Cordenons, continues, as part of an experimental project desired by the Army Chief of Staff, as a prerequisite for their employment in operations on national territory.
Since April 10th, the young volunteers have undertaken a training course, carrying out a series of theoretical and practical activities, including combat exercises in residential areas at the “Military Operations Urban Terrain” facility in Dandolo, using simunition ammunition, shooting with portable and department weapons at the Cellina-Meduna shooting range, and training sessions. military combat method.
At the end of the training, the personnel will be employed in the “Safe Streets” operation in the squares of Milan and Brescia.
