Forty infantrymen of the 152 ° regiment of the "Sassari" brigade, belonging to the role of graduates and newly assigned volunteers (VFP1), completed an intense training period lasting four weeks.

Purpose of the activity: to bring the level of technical preparation of the specialty to the level achieved by the most "senior" and expert soldiers and, at the same time, promote the spirit of the body and the cohesion among the staff of the unit.

The military, under the guidance and supervision of regimental instructors, carried out a series of theoretical and practical activities at the "Gonzaga" barracks, home to the 152nd regiment, in which they implemented the skills in handling and using weapons supplied, acquired day and night navigation techniques, received notions of first aid and on the chemical, bacteriological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threat.

To complete the amalgam process, a five-day continuous training activity was developed during which the military put into practice the theoretical notions previously acquired, walking over 70 kilometers of particularly compartmentalized and demanding itineraries identified in the area of the municipality of Desulo, in the province of Nuoro, within the Gennargentu natural park.

The 152nd has been carrying out amalgamation for years as a premise for the inclusion of the newly assigned staff within the operational units and in preparation for the multiple operational commitments affecting the regiment and the "Sassari" brigade both in Italy and abroad .
