Following the multi-weapon and inter-force amphibious exercises conducted by the “Pozzuolo del Friuli” brigade during theAmphex 2024, functional for the validation of the command of the large combat unit in the role of Joint Landing HQ, with a view to training progression and also combined, a joint amphibious training phase took place between a platoon of the lagoon regiment "Serenissima" and the 21st Marine Infantry Regiment of the French Army.

The activity is part of a consolidated collaboration between the two specialist units started in 2007.

For two weeks, a platoon of riflemen went to France to participate in an intense training activity with the French twin regiment, specialized in amphibious operations. During the training period, the lagoon soldiers carried out a series of activities focused on amphibious operations, including exercises on ranges with portable weapons, simulations in inhabited centers and training on complex scenarios that require high professional preparation.

In the same period, the lagooners welcomed their French counterparts by organizing a series of training activities, including river crossing, river patrols and the creation of observation posts in the lagoon area. Particular attention was also paid to combat operations in urban areas, with simulations of conflict scenarios in residential areas, a crucial component for amphibious forces in readiness.

The continuous exchange of skills, experiences and operational interoperability between the two regiments are testimony to the high level of collaboration that has characterized this partnership since its inception.

This cooperation has consolidated over the years, leading to a significant increase in the ability to operate synergistically in complex contexts.
