The ceremony for the anniversary of the foundation of the "Granatieri di Sardegna" took place inside the "Gandin" barracks. Born in 1659, in more than three and a half centuries of history, the "Bianchi Alamari" have gone through all the phases of the history of Italy. From the birth of our nation to the most recent international commitments.
The event, presided over by the commander of the "Granatieri di Sardegna" brigade, Brigadier General Giovanni Brafa Musicoro, was attended, among others, by the former military adviser to the President of the Republic, Army Corps General Rolando Mosca Moschini, the 'former Undersecretary of Defence, general of the army corps Domenico Rossi, civil authorities, military and military associations, former soldiers of the regiment and other local institutions. A note of color was represented by the students of the "Perlasca" institute.
The deployed departments reflected, through the uniforms and equipment used in the ceremony, the commitments in which the "Grenadiers of Sardinia" operated in the past and are called to operate today: from the use of rifle units in operations on national and international territory, to the supervisory services at the institutional offices and the tasks of high representation.
