A week of intense activity has just ended for the one hundred and thirty officers of the 199th “Dare” course who, from 14 to 18 March, were engaged in specialty training in the operational departments of the Army near the end of the five-year training period. The synergy between the Training and the Army Operational Forces has been, as always, constant for the guarantee of osmosis between the school and operational components of the Army.

The training, even virtual with the simulation system (Virtual Battle Space), covered the entire spectrum of use of the Army units: Counter IED, tactical helicopter transport and use of self-propelled and anti-aircraft artillery weapon systems, deployment of the transmission support units, logistical support of the Alpine brigade departments Taurinense and, for the staff of the commissariat, the interaction with the IT tools of the financial management of the administrative responsibility center Army.

Not only training, therefore, but also updating the situation in the context of the “Safe Roads” operation with a visit to the operations room of the “Lombardia and Trentino” group, led by the "Nizza Cavalleria" regiment (1st). In addition, special forces wannabes were given the opportunity to visit the special operations training center and engage in some of the tests foreseen by the demanding selective process.

There was no lack of opportunity to deepen the history and traditions of the units, as happened in Rivoli (TO) where the Officers visited the "Places of Memory" of the "Martyrs of Ceccaroni" and participated in the ceremony in memory of the victims of War of Liberation.

Many departments involved: the 32nd engineer regiment, the 34th permanent detachment of the Army Aviation, the 1st transmission regiment, the logistic regiment of the alpine brigade Taurinense, the 132nd artillery regiment and the 4th anti-aircraft artillery regiment, testifying to the common and coordinated commitment of the entire Armed Force, for an ever better training course for young officers.

At the Application School of the Turin Army, every year over a thousand military and civilian students, Italian and foreign, are trained, in addition to the significance in the refinement of military identity, an authentic multi-cultural center based on respect for traditions, innovation teaching and the internationalization of studies.
