from Genoa the propeller frigate Principe Umberto under the command of vessel captain Guglielmo Acton with 103 ensign for an education campaign in South America with a stopover in the main ports on the Atlantic and Pacific sides, from Rio de Janeiro to Callao, with two crossings of the Strait of Magellan, the first of an Italian warship.
