With short stops in Rio de Janeiro, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Gibraltar and Baia for the usual sanitary observation stop, the 17 July will arrive in Naples after two years overseas.
The command of the South American Station is assumed ad interim, waiting for the new commander (frigate captain Michele Carpi, commander of the Guiscardo), by frigate captain Carlo Libetta, commander of the Ardita gunboat, the most senior officer present.
