10 May 1913 Happened: The RTs set the time with the Eiffel tower

10/05/14

According to the conclusions reached at the International Conference of the Hour held in Paris in October of the 1912, it is provided that all coastal RT stations in the Mediterranean regulate daily the hour according to the appropriate signals issued by the Paris Observatory with transmission from the Eiffel tower according to the methods indicated in the List of Lighthouses and Lights of the Hydrographic Institute of the R. Marina of Genoa.

Also the units of the Regia Marina will adapt to this provision and by the officer of the route every morning at 08 the on-board chronometer will be regulated (the "show" according to the nautical lexicon).
