The 06 January 1873 Happened: First Major Drive for the Shipyards of Spezia

to the Arsenale di Spezia airport the battleship Dandolo, first of the three large ships project of the director of 2a class of the Corps of the Naval Engineers Benedetto Brin.

These vessels are innovative, armored with revolving towers and central reduced, fast, equipped with the maximum offensive power and greater defensive capacity then possible and each of the estimated cost of 14 million lire.

The Dandolo is the first major unit to be built in the La Spezia arsenal.
