The major Naval Engineer Raffaele Rossetti and the lieutenant Marina doctor Raffaele Paolucci violate the very austro-Hungarian port of Pula and sink with the innovative self-propelled torpedo, nicknamed Mignatta, the battle ship Viribus Unitis and the steamer Vienna.
The new medium, a modified torpedo invented by the engineer of Marina, is the first underwater assault vehicle in history, prototype and progenitor of the slow-running torpedoes that had so much in the victorious Italian actions during the Second World War and which represent, even today, the Italian Navy in the Naval Museums of the world.
