Once the winter competitive season is over, athletes and technicians of the Winter Sports section gathered at the facilities of the Air Force sports center in Vigna di Valle, welcomed by the commander of the historiographic and sports center of the Air Force (CSSAM), Colonel Luigi Barbagallo. The purpose of the retreat is to take stock of the situation at the end of the competitive season and lay the foundations for the future one, with the aim of best preparing the path towards the 2026 Cortina Winter Olympics.
On this occasion, a meeting was also organized between three generations of athletes: the young people still active and their technicians were in fact able to meet their "grandfather" Luciano De Paolis, Marshal of the Air Force, former athlete of the sports centre, multi-medal Olympic and world champion in 2- and 4-man Bobsleigh between the end of the 60s and the early 70s.
