Sochi (Russia): Third Day of the World Military Games

Even today many medals won by the Italian military team participating in the competitions of the Winter Military World Games in Russia.

In the morning, to open the day, the carabiniere Chiara De Zolt Ponte with the financier Francesca Baudin won the bronze medal in the Cross Country specialty Team Sprint (Nordic Skiing).

In the afternoon, gold won in the Women's Slalom (Alpine Skiing) from the major caporal of the Army Irene Curtoni and gold to the Squadra also in the Slalom of the Curtoni, together with the Army Corporal Martina Perruchon and the financier chosen Michela Azzola.

At the end of the day, the conquest of gold in the Mixed Staffeta of the financiers Arianna Fontana and Elena Viviani, and of the silver of the carabinieri Yuri Confortola and Nicola Rodigari.

Additionally, thanks to the total scores achieved by the teams, the assignment of a gold to the male mountaineering team consisting of Manfred Reichegger, chief caporal leader, and chiefs of staff chosen by Daniel Antonioli and Richard Tiraboschi of the Army, and of a bronze at the Sprint 10 km specialty biathlon team, made up of Major General Caporal Thierry Chenal, by the chosen carabiniere Riccardo Romani and the financier Maikol Demetz.

The medal table of the Italian team, thanks to these podiums, reaches 18: eight golds, five silvers and five bronzes.
