The award ceremony of the 2th edition of the Rome - Giraglia, in which the Navy Sailing Sport took part, on board the First 36.7 Cygnus of the Sailing Section of Anzio.
Also this year the crew of the Anzio Sailing Section was able to honour the competition with an excellent performance, placing themselves on the third step of the podium, both in the IRC and ORC Overall rankings.
Under the careful organization of the Circolo Nautico Riva di Traiano (CNRT), the regatta began on September 21st, on a 255-mile course from the Port of Riva di Traiano to the suggestive Giraglia, characterized mainly by widespread showers, fresh winds and gusts.
La Rome - Giraglia It is therefore confirmed as an important opportunity to combine sport and tradition, allowing crews to compete technically and consolidate training, culture and seafaring values among the personnel in service.
During the award ceremony, the calendar of the XXXV Edition of the Riva di Traino Winter Championship was also presented, in which 38 boats are registered and among these, in the Regatta category, the First 36,7 Cygnus of the Sailing Section of Anzio.
