For the third consecutive edition, Italy "with the stars" was the undisputed protagonist of the 25th edition of the CISM World Military Equestrian Championship, which concluded last night at the Al Kayan Equestrian Club in Cairo, Egypt.
The first graduate of the Army Emanuele Addis, the graduate adjutant of the Army Filippo Martini Di Cigala, both active at the Military Riding Center, and the chosen carabiniere Francesco Correddu, were able to best interpret the horses made available by the organizing committee, assigned by drawing lots in each of the three championship trials, bringing the team to the top of the final rankings with 405 points. Also on the podium were Egypt (388 points) and Qatar (370 points).
On an individual level, with 57 pairs competing, the qualified assistant Filippo Martini Di Cigala won a well-deserved silver medal, thus completing the satisfying trip to Egypt of the Italian delegation and repeating the silver of the 2024 edition won by Emanuele Addis.
Filippo Martini Di Cigala (158 points) finished second, just one point behind the winner, Romanian lieutenant Stefania Alina Stoica.
The national team, led by Colonel Marco Del Nevo, commander of the Military Riding Center and by the technician Lieutenant Colonel Andrea Mezzaroba, once again won the gold medal among the teams in the Military World Show Jumping Championship.
