During the weekend of August the athletes of the parachuting section of the sports activities department of the Army took part in the Italian stage of the Parachuting World Cup 2016 which was held at the "Arturo Dell'Oro" airport in Belluno.
45 the teams representing 22 nations, for the Italian Army the athletes who train at the Parachuting Training Center of the brigade thunderbolt.
Third step of the team podium for the team ITALY 2 which was composed, among others, by three Army athletes.
In the women's field, in the team competition, another good third place for the Army athletes.
Among the men to be recorded the unfortunate trial of Lieutenant Colonel Paolo Filippini, in first place up to the final stages but wrongly the last pitch slipped to fifth place overall still gaining first place in the category Master. In the same category, Lieutenant Giuseppe Tresoldi comes third.
Excellent performance by the caporal major Alessandro Binello, who placed second in the category Junior.
The next stop for the soldiers engaged in the World Cup Series will be in Thalgau (Austria). In September in Chicago (USA), the absolute world championship is expected where the Aeroclub selector will bring three Army athletes.
