The armed forces at the second event of the six nations of rugby

The Armed Forces will be present at the 6 Rugby Nations Tournament during the meeting between Italy and Ireland which will take place on Sunday 24 February 2019 at the Olympic Stadium in Rome at 16.00. The event will see the participation of the Armed Forces with athletes from the military sports groups and the Paralympic Defense Sports Group (GSPD).

The Armed Forces military will enter the field before the start of the match with the flags of the participating nations on the notes of the national anthems of the teams in the field performed by the Carabinieri Fanfara. The Armed Forces will also be present with an information stand at the Stadio dei Marmi of the Foro Italico, the "Hospitality Village", to experience the atmosphere of the "Third Time" from 10: 00 to 20: 00.

It is an opportunity for contact with the public, as well as a meeting between the world of sport and the military. Loyalty, courage, friendship and respect for the adversary are the values ​​that every rugby player learns about the field of play, the same values ​​that inspire the actions of the men and women of the Armed Forces, daily at the service of collectivity in Italy and abroad.
