Last Sunday, in Rosia (SI), the MTB Granfondo of the Val di Merse took place, opening stage of the national challenge Ima Scapin, valid for the assignment of the Italian title Army Sports Group 2017.
The race has developed on a very challenging and technical track of 50 km for 1500 meters in altitude. Just under 1000 registered athletes from all over Italy. Among these the GS Army athletes competing for the Italian title.
Among the members also Vania Rossi, major caporal chosen in service to the 7 ° AVES regiment "Vega" of Rimini. Athlete from the Olympic Sports Center of the Army and former Italian national team (7 Italian titles won in the cyclocross specialty, owner of the blue team in world championships and world cups), after 4 years of distance from the fields of race, is back to compete at the amateur level for the GS Army by winning the Italian championship.
