The Azzurri's successes at the World Championships of winter disciplines don't stop. In Georgia on the slopes of Bakuriani the chosen graduate Omar Visintin obtained an important bronze medal in the individual event of the snowboardcross.
“Reconfirming at an international level is never taken for granted. The race was complicated due to the snow and the technically complex track. I'm happy for this bronze which rewards not only me, but an extraordinary team also made up of many technicians and skimen who work hours away from the spotlight. Among other things, many of them are my colleagues in the Army whom I thank because on these occasions you realize not only the professionalism in the field to help us athletes, but how much passion and what an extraordinary family we are."
In the Pyrenees at Bou Taull the bronze medal in ski mountaineering was added thanks to an incredible race by the graduate Alba De Silvestro who surprised in the vertical race by finishing in third place.
