The VII edition of the CISM Military World Games ended yesterday with 5 golds, 13 silvers and 12 bronzes for the Italian team.
A large number of podiums was obtained by Italian athletes who in these days participated together with more than 10.000 athletes from over 100 countries in the VII edition of the Military World Games held in Wuhan (China) which began on October 18, 2019.
A result that beyond the numbers makes us understand how competitive military sport is and continues to guarantee CONI more and more elite athletes. A movement that of military athletes that continues to amaze and who are already thinking about the next Olympic adventure.
The athletes were the protagonists of the closing parade of the games, to underline how the true spirit of this event, in addition to the sports competition, is the synthesis of values and feelings of closeness, friendship between the athletes and solidarity, under the aegis of the motto "Friendship through Sport" coined by CISM.
An important moment of the event was the parade of delegations applauded by over 50.000 spectators proud to have hosted the edition of the records for the nations and athletes participating in the CISM Military World Championships, as underlined by the words of the civil and military authorities present.
The ceremony ended with the ritual of extinguishing the brazier that will be rekindled between 4 years.
