In order to foster mutual knowledge and to consolidate the friendship relations between the participants of the European Wind 2016, a sports-military competition was held today, in which a hundred soldiers took part, representing the five nations exercised.
A ten-kilometer race from Venzone to Gemona, made more difficult by unfavorable weather conditions and having to carry a load of ten kilograms on your shoulders.
The Lieutenant Colonel Fabio Zinato, effective in the Julia logistic regiment, who preceded the Slovenian colonel Lucian Cuk by a few seconds, won the overall ranking. Among the women, Lieutenant Serena Natali, effective at the 2nd Alpine Broadcasting Regiment, won, who crossed the finish line together with the Hungarian second lieutenant Csaba Buz.
The exercise, which began on November 21 with the flag-raising ceremony in Piazza del Ferro in Gemona and which will conclude the next 2 December, involves more than 1500 between men and women of the Armed Forces of Italy, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia and Hungary.
