The training - conducted in recent days at the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City, Russia, together with colleagues Anton Shkaplerov of the Russian Federal Space Agency and Terry Virts of NASA - represents a further step towards the ISS 42/43 mission : the “Futura” mission. This is the second long-term mission of ASI which, starting from November 2014, will see Captain Cristoforetti personally involved as the first Italian woman to bring the flag into orbit.
